Introducing a one of a kind collection of exquisite kimonos from Japan collected by Yashu e Prem during our trips around the world !
Kimonos are a symbol of longevity and good fortune. Specific motifs were used to indicate virtues or attributes of the wearer, or relate to the season or occasion such as weddings and festivals where it bestows good fortune on the wearer.
Kimonos were popular for many reasons, mainly for being versatile. They can easily be layered or altered to suit any season. The long ones here presented in silk can be worn in fall and winter indoors or outdoors.
